本週我們來學習與社交相關的詞彙
1. kindred /'kɪndrɪd/
adj. 相似的;類似的
搭配:kindred spirits 志同道合的人
kindred minds 心意相通
e.g. A kindred spirit is someone who understands and agrees with you on a very deep level.
e.g. Social media platforms allow individuals to connect with kindred spirits.
e.g. Their kindred minds helped them solve the problem quickly.
2. creature /'kriːtʃə/
n. 生物;動物
搭配:social creatures 社會生物
e.g. Humans are social creatures as it is important for our mental health to have friends and groups of people who can support us.
e.g. Humans evolved together as social creatures in order to survive.
n. (具有某種特徵的)人
補充: a creature of habit 生活極有規律的人/ 不願意嘗試新事物的人
A creature of emotions 情緒化的人
e.g. He’s a creature of habit, always having the same breakfast every morning.
e.g. She’s a creature of emotions, letting her feelings guide her every choice.
3. confidant /'kɒnfɪdænt/
n.[可吐露隱私的]知己,密友
e.g. She is my trusted confidant, someone with whom I feel safe sharing my secrets.
e.g. I’ve always relied on my best friend as my confidant. She knows everything about me.
v. confide 吐露或傾訴秘密
confide in someone about…向某人傾訴
e.g. I feel comfortable enough to confide in her about my worries.
e.g. He confided his troubles to a friend.
4. get-together
n. 非正式的社交聚會; 小聚
e.g. She's hosting a get-together for her classmates.
e.g. It was just a casual get-together, nothing too fancy.

meetup 聚會;尤其是以興趣爲基礎的團體。
e.g. I see my cousins only at occasional family gatherings.
